World of Good Father’s Day card
A special dad deserves a special Father’s Day card and this World of Good Father’s Day card is sure to let Dad know just how special he is. Besides its warm colors and added textures, it was quick and easy to put together.I don’t know about you, but sometimes I’m challenged to create masculine cards. Most patterned papers are floral or youth-oriented, not something you’d use on a card for dad. But this year and last year, Stampin Up has really hit it out of park with masculine designer series papers. Last year, it was the Come Sail Away suite and this year the World of Good suite. Indeed, I had originally planned on making just six cards with this suite, but ended up having so many ideas, I made twelve. And there were still more things I could have created!
Color and Designs for Masculine Cards
In addition, the colors are spot-on for masculine cards. The World of Good suite showcases three of the new In Colors for 2020—Misty Moonlight, Bumblebee, and Cinnamon Cider, along with the versatile neutrals Mossy Meadow and Early Espresso.
The Memories & More card set had so many great options for decorative card elements. So many in fact, that the hardest part was selecting just one (or twelve!) On some cards, both the front and the back were perfect so I was glad that there were two of each.
The Old World Paper embossing folder is another new addition. It creates an awesome textured finish, perfect for an accent piece. On this card, I used it with the delicious caramel-colored Cinnamon Cider paper that was a perfect complement for the map paper in the background. To further tie in the global theme, I used one of the Memories & More cards that has a soft Misty Moonlight desk globe in the background.
Lastly, the global theme is echoed in the stamp I used from the Best Year stamp set, part of the Best Year bundle. “To the world you are a dad, to me you’re the world.” What a perfect sentiment for a Father’s Day card!
