Autumn Greetings Get Well Card
The occasion came that I needed another get well card and since the leaves are ablaze in their autumn glory here, I thought it would be fun to make it a fall-themed card using the Autumn Greetings bundle. When I was designing the Beautiful Autumn Greetings card, I stamped and colored several versions of the main image. For this card, I used the version that featured the main flower colored in a brighter shade, Poppy Parade. To make the brighter palette pop, I chose Blackberry Bliss as the backdrop on this card. See the comparison between the two cards below.

To add some visual interest to the card, without competing with the starring image, I used one of the new mini embossing folders from the holiday catalog. I love that there’s two folders and that, although being featured in a holiday suite, they are perfect for year-round use. Once the new, smaller die cutting machine comes out, they are sized to fit through the new machine too.
The Details Pull it all Together
I’ve become smitten with the Plaid Tidings designer series paper (DSP) collection after seeing it in use and then, using it in a featured role in my Halloween Card Bonanza course. This paper could be considered to have Halloween-y tones, but I thought it contrasted perfectly with the colors used in the stamped image and with that gorgeous embossed Blackberry Bliss background. The Autumn Greetings bundle has two border dies, one of which is non-seasonal. (The other kinda is, although it reminds me of wheat stalk heads.).
I used the sawtooth die to create a fun border and show off the pretty plaid paper that sits inside the card. Next, it was time to find a greeting. I needed to find a Get Well sentiment that was the right size to fit within the plaid section. I also didn’t want to cover up too much of the pretty Plaid Tidings paper. A quick peruse of the Stampin’ Up website showed all of the Get Well stamp possibilities. The new redesigned website made it quick and easy to find stamps by theme; I quickly found the Itty Bitty Greetings set had the right size and shape. Even better, I actually owned it! And, it came paired with an interior greeting as well. The only thing left to do was to pull it all together.
