Reverse Gatefold Card: A Versatile Card Making Idea
I love how these cards came out using this versatile card making design. If a gatefold card got together with a fun fold card, like the one featured in my Poinsettia Place Fun Fold card, the resulting card baby would be today’s card design. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this card making idea before, so I made up the name “reverse gatefold”.
Besides lending itself to a variety of occasions, this design also lets you feature up to three different designer papers. In addition to the two on the front, if you simply can’t make up your mind which paper you want to use, you can add a third to the inside flaps on the card. And you may find yourself in that predicament with all the pretty papers in the Gilded Autumn designer series paper set.
I had so much fun with this design that I made 3 more using all different product suites. They were quick and easy to put together and let me show off some of the new papers from Stampin Up’s holiday catalog.
Another great things about this card design is that it can make use of all those small strips of paper you have leftover when cutting a 4” base from a 6×6 piece of paper. Let me know which one is your favorite in the comments below!

I put an instruction sheet together with all of the measurements and steps so you can recreate this card yourself. I would greatly appreciate it if you would consider making your purchases through my online store. Your support helps fund more projects like this.
